August Round up: Beauty & Skincare Favorites!

August has been a fun month! I have made a lot of new makeup and skincare purchases this month, due to my birthday! LOL! This month’s round-up, I have a couple of things I have used and loved for a while now to share and a few new products I cant wait to share with you guys!!!

Let’s get into it!

Skincare

I wanted to start out with skincare, I have used up a few products and I have to say, they are definitely ones I will repurchase! Starting with the Fresh Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence , There is nothing that I have tried or used before that is quite like it. It is a “treatment” product that you apply after cleansing and toning your face but before serums. To me, that’s just too many steps before bed but I do use it in place of my toner! I apply it after washing my face, then I put on any serums I want to use and seal it all in with my moisturizer. This product has made my skin so silky smooth and somehow leaves it looking hydrated without looking wet? It has also helped keep my small breakouts at bay. It’s a great product. I have a new product to try after this one already in my collection but I will definitely be repurchasing this one in the future! For Serums, I have loved and been using my Dermalogica AGE Bright Clearing Serum. This product is high in Salicylic Acid which Stimulates natural exfoliation to help clear clogged follicles. I find that during the summer my skin is more prone to breakouts than in winter so I love using a serum at night to clear anything starting or help clear up anything happening (break out wise) on my face. This is also a great way to prevent a breakout as well. If you are prone to getting breakouts during the summer, try adding this to your skincare routine! It has helped me a ton! Lastly, For moisturizer, I have been loving my Exuviance Age Reverse Day Repair SPF 30. This is a great, classic, everyday moisturizer with SPF. I have found that this one works super well for my skin type and works great under makeup!

Makeup

My Makeup favorites this month are super exciting! Guys, I finally tried the Gorgio Armani Power Fabric Concealer and I am OBSESSED!! I don’t know what took me so long to try this but I am so glad I did. This concealer is such a perfect lightweight, flawless concealer. I am blown away. I haven’t really experienced anything like it. It is lightweight, medium to full coverage, but feels like silk on the skin. It blends out like a dream and has a beautiful satin finish. This is perfect for every day or an evening out. I love how natural it looks. Such a stunning formula. I don’t want to jump the gun but I may even like this more than my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer. The difference between the Armani Concealer and the Charlotte tilbury one is the texture. They both have great coverage and look flawless on the skin but the Armani Concealer is super creamy. It gives you time to blend out and melt it into the skin. The Charlotte Tilbury one sets very quickly. Both are stunning but I am loving this Armani Power Fabric Concealer formula!

Let’s Talk Foundation. On a day to day basis, I typically use a lightweight foundation like the Mac Face and Body or the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation but there are days that I want something more full coverage. Events like date nights, work events, or a long day out with the family, you want more coverage and something with longevity. For this, I love foundations that give coverage, are long-lasting, blend out easily, leave the skin looking natural, and are great in photos. I typically reach for my Este Lauder Double Wear Foundation, my Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick, or my Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. These all are great foundations for pictures, events, and long days. I have had these in my collection for a long time but this month I tried a new foundation that has kicked ALL these foundations to the curb! The Gorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation! I know I am super late to this party but I have to say, I am in LOVE. This foundation has really blown me away. The texture is stunning, it truly feels like silk on the skin! I don’t know how that is possible but it is! I have been testing it out this past month and it has stood the test of full 8+ hour hot summer days and still leaves the skin looking polished. I can’t speak highly enough about this foundation. I give it 10/10! It has all the aspects I love about other foundations but all in one. It is super creamy, feels like a cloud on the skin, blends out like a dream, looks great in photos, and lasts all day. I couldn’t ask for more.

For bronzer, I have been loving my Milk Makeup Cream Bronzer in Baked, It’s super easy and blendable and I love the color. Perfect for a simple everyday makeup routine. And for blush, I have been loving my Nudestix Cream Blush in Beach Babe. Just another cream blush favorite from Nudestix! I will always have these cream blushes in my makeup collection.

Lastly, for lips, I have been loving the Laneige Lip Mask in Sweet Candy. My lips have been so so dry lately. This has been a lip savior for me and I love the glossy finish. It gives great hydration and I use it all day long!
