Winter Weekend Getaway Bag

My winter travel makeup bag always includes high coverage, hydrating products. Winter weather really dries out my skin and leaves me looking pale and dehydrated so I like to pack extra skincare, extra hydrating, color packed makeup products. Cream products are my favorite way to go! 

During the winter I love using my Dermalogica Prisma Protect because it’s a super hydrating moisturizer, improves skin’s luminosity, is beautiful under your makeup, and has great SPF.  I top it with a nice dollop of my favorite buttery Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face base then go in with my color products! 

If you follow any of my social media accounts you will know I love my Bobbi Brown products! For this trip I brought my Bobbi Brown Skin Long Wear Weightless Foundation ( in Beige )! It provides beautiful coverage but is still super creamy. My new favorite go to concealer this month has been the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer! It is a stunning formula, great coverage and lasts all day but still is creamy! Other cream products I couldn’t forget to put in my makeup bag are the Milk Makeup cream bronzer in Baked, my Nudestix matte cream blush in In The Nude, and my Hourglass highlighter in Champagne Flash. For powder products I brought my Benefit Cosmetics Hoola bronzer, and my Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder to keep everything in place all day. And other favs in my bag were my Benefit cosmetics Gimme Brow gel, Shisedo eyelash curler, and my Jo Malone perfume in Woodsage and Sea Salt!

But my pro tip for you girls is that winter makeup should be layered with cream and powder products! This is how you make your makeup last all day and keep the colors vibrant for a longer period of time! So set your makeup with a loose setting powder, set your cream blush with a powder blush, and cream bronzer with a powder bronzer! It’s a little extra time but you will thank yourself when it’s 3pm and you still have color on your cheeks!
