2021 Year End Review: A Life Update
This year was here and gone in a blink of an eye. I don’t know how this always happens. The days and weeks sometimes seem to go by slow but then at the end of the year somehow it all went by in a flash!
This year was very special for me tho. I know there was so much craziness happening in the world, but my husband and I still found beautiful moments that we will treasure for a lifetime.
January I started out the new year by chopping off all of my hair! Crazy but so much fun. I realized for the first time that my hair does not define me. I for so long felt so scared to change my hair. But I realized you can be fun and have fun with your clothes, your hair, and your makeup!
February was such an amazing month – our basement was finished! Such a life improvement! We now have space for an extra office, a home gym, and so much more! Since being stuck at home so much more these past two years, having this extra space has been such a blessing and great for kids someday 😉 Lol
March was an amazing month. I took a huge leap of faith and signed a lease to open up my own studio! Rachel’s Edit Studio. My husband and I renovated the whole space ourselves. It was not as easy as it all seemed. Opening a business is super complicated, all the meetings, approvals, insurances, money spent, product research, product orders, furniture orders, and more approvals was NOT easy but it was so worth it. I have loved every moment of working in my new space. Being able to spend time with my clients and having a space to do facials and bridal trials has been such a blast. I am thankful beyond words for all God has provided. He is good!
April was a month of birthday celebrations for my sweet husband, family time, and renovations at the studio!
In May we started to finish up the studio just in time to open in June for all the summer festivities!
We designed a new logo just in time for the opening!
We couldn’t decide until my husband designed me this stunna 👇 Isn’t this logo so perfect? I am in love. We updated the logo on all my social media, website, and cards. I could not be happier!
June was a great month, full of bridal makeup, road trips, and the opening of Rachel’s Edit Studio!

July and August were a blur of a million weddings, facials, road trips, my birthday, and family adventures! My husband and I also celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary!
September we took our anniversary trip to The Lake House in Canandaigua. This place is SO stunning. If you have not been, it is a must. It is right on the water, everything is just lovely. And the coffee, girls, this coffee is worth coming back for! 😉
In October we took our big road trip to Maine. One of my favorite places to visit in the United States. It is such a quaint, peaceful, relaxing place to spend time. The food is so fresh and the views are breathtaking 🥰
