January Favorites
Happy New Year Friends! Can you believe we made it to 2021? So thankful for this fresh start!
This January I have been focusing on keeping my skin clear. Since masks have been introduced into our daily lives I have noticed my skin at times gets mini bumps or pimples around the chin area. I have a few posts coming up on skincare and acne so look for those coming soon! But for now, let’s get into this month’s favs!
Skincare
One great way to help keep skin clear and help reduce breakouts is to exfoliate. I have been loving the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads. These are super easy and very effective. I have been using them morning and/or evening before bed, after cleansing my skin. I am so happy I added these to my skincare routine, they have truly helped keep my skin clear and bright. I have truly seen a difference in my skin using these regularly. They have really helped reduce my skin texture, helped keep my skin soft, and exfoliated.
Serum wise, I have been using and loving the Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil. It has only been a couple of weeks but I have to say, so far, it really has made my skin look and feel brighter. I love the texture my skin feels when I use this. It feels super hydrating. I will continue to use this through February and give you a more full review and my full thoughts in another month!
For Moisturizer I have been using the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. This is a gorgeous creamy gel formula that feels like a cloud on the skin. I love how hydrated my skin feels when I use this. It is definitely a pricey product but I had to try it, there were just so many great reviews online. It is a beautiful, lush moisturizer. I would say It is perfect for those looking for a gel moisturizer. I personally prefer a rich, buttery cream texture but this one does everything I would want it to. If you want to try this before investing in the full bottle, Elemis is great and often has promotions so you can have them send you a deluxe sample for a couple of dollars! I would definitely check online! That is how I originally tried the exfoliation pads, a promo online for a mini 7 day trial of pads for $7! So cool!
Makeup
Concealer this month has been the RMS Un coverup Concealer. This is a great product to have in your makeup bag, you can use it as a beautiful creamy concealer under the eyes or even as a foundation! It is a great two in one product. This formula is really great because it is creamy but also sets nicely on the skin leaving the skin looking like skin. I have found once it sets, it’s set for the day. Definitely a favorite for me.
Foundation I have been going back and forth using the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation (I use the shade 4 Fair) and the Bareminerals Original Mineral Foundation ( I use shade Medium Beige). The CT Light Wonder foundation is a really hydrating light coverage foundation, great for every day. I use this one when I don’t have to wear a mask at home. This one is a very dewy foundation and definitely requires powder to set! I have been using the Bareminerals mineral foundation when I am going out of the house and have to wear a mask. It gives great coverage and truly melts into the skin, leaving the skin looking like skin. I love this product because it is a clean product, it is made of natural minerals and does not clog the pores. Great for wearing a mask, it is a powder, it won’t move around all over your face and mask, and it won’t clog your pores!
For Bronzer this month I have pulled out an oldie but goodie! I have been using and loving my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer! I forgot how much I loved this product. One of my 2021 makeup goals this year is to rotate my makeup more. That way I can show some love to some of my older products that I had used and loved last year as well. I love the tone of this bronzer, it is a beautiful universal warm tone. I keep one of these in my professional makeup kit as well. Such a great product and It smells like actual chocolate!
Blush has to be my Nudestix Cream Blush in Beach Babe. This is the perfect sunkissed warm pink! Love this color all year round.
Lip Favorites this month have definitely been the Charlotte Tilbury Iconic Nude Lip Liner with Mac Yash and/or Mac Velvet Teddy! If you haven’t tried Charlotte Tilbury lip liners, they are a must. The formula is so creamy and lasts all day, literally.
