The End Of Year Edit 2019
What a year! Hasn’t it just flown by? I feel like it was just January 2019 and I blinked and now we are here! Almost 2020! This year has been one of the most exciting, and filled with change for my family and I! 2019 started with a new adventure of going back to school in January! It has been something I have been wanting to do for years, but finally got the gumption to make it happen. I signed up for a 9 month program to further my education and receive my license in makeup and esthetics! While I was in school learning and mastering my skills, I was also working as a store manager for a leading cosmetics company during the week and freelancing on the weekends as a makeup artist doing Bridal! It was a crazy ride, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I graduated with my license in Makeup and Cosmetology on my birthday! What an amazing birthday gift!
After I had completed my degree beginning of August, my husband and I jumped on a plane to take a trip out west! We rented an amazing Jeep and did a road trip starting in Denver Colorado. Rocky Mountain National Park was like nothing I have ever seen, so so mind blowing. The beauty was unreal. After our nights snuggled up in the mountains we traveled to 4 of the the national parks through Utah. Arches National Park was so magical, like from a movie scene. After seeing the beauty in the wilderness we headed out to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. We stayed right in the center of the canyon. Our hotel overlooked the whole canyon. What a dream to wake up to!
We finished this beautiful trip by driving from The Grand Canyon out to Las Angeles California. We stayed in a little air B&B right on the pacific ocean in Santa Monica. What an amazing and memorable adventure that was! – If you all would like a little travel guide through the west, let me know! I can share with you some of the amazing places we stayed, what restaurants we eat at, coffee shops we sipped from, and what spots were best for shopping!
When we got back from our beautiful trip, I spent the rest of the fall season working on weekends as a freelance makeup artist working along side of an amazing makeup artist and friend doing Bridal all the way up to November! My husband and I finished the year off with a lovely family and food-filled Thanksgiving and Christmas!
I cant believe how fast this year passed by! It was a whirlwind, but such a blast. Filled with so many new experiences, learning, and adventure. I learned so much about myself this year, pushing the envelope, past my fears into a new world of freelancing.
If there is one thing I can say I have learned most this year was to “Just do it“! I know it may sound like such a cliche, but it has truly been real for me this year. I was so afraid of being too old to go back to school, of what people might think, even what I would think of myself! Who was I, going back to school at 30? Could I really do it? My fear sometimes spoke over my thoughts. But God. God stepped in and blessed me with such perfect timing – financially and with my work schedule! It all worked out so perfect.
My husband, bless his heart, was so encouraging and his excitement for me really helped get me excited and give me the push I needed. This was something I truly wanted, something I knew deep down I could do and do it well with God and my hubby by my side. So I did it! I signed up and went every day to class, soaked up all I could from our classes and came out happier than I ever could have dreamed! I am more excited now than I have been since I was a kid!
I wake up in the morning excited and so ready to start my day! Pushing past my fear and jumping into my passion and just doing it , has changed my life! 2020 is going to be even bigger and more amazing – I just know it! I cant wait to share with you guys all the new things to come in 2020! And I cant wait to hear all the amazing things happening in your lives! What was your favorite part of 2019? What was the biggest thing you learned? I cant wait to see all that God has in store for this new year ahead and cant wait to share my journey with you all!
God Bless and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
