Summer 2019 Essentials

Hi Lovies! So I was going through my makeup bag for this summer and I found that there were 5 products that I just can’t live without this summer and thought I could share them with you! These are products everyone should at least try at some point because they are so versatile, easy to use and super long-wearing! These are my go-to products because they make your skin look super hydrated and glowy!

Moisturize! 

I start with the Dermalogica Prisma Protect! It is the perfect moisturizer and face base for makeup. I love it because it is a skincare product that provides 30 SPF and leaves your skin looking radiant. It also works as a great primer for your foundation. It is the perfect balance of hydration without being greasy.

Conceal / Even out your Skin

Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer has been my go-to for the past month! It is perfect to give you lightweight, medium coverage, and brighten your skin. It is infused with antioxidants and hydrating humectants to help nourish the skin. It leaves the skin looking hydrated and bright. It’s perfection. I use it under my eyes and in my T zone. I use my fingers or a foundation brush to spread the product to where I feel I need the most coverage. Such a beautiful base! You don’t even need a foundation.

Bronzer 

My favorite part about makeup, the bronzer!!! There is nothing I love more than to look glowing with a nice subtle tan. I have been loving the Huda Beauty Tantour Bronzer. I used the shade Fair. It is the perfect way to warm up your face naturally. I love cream bronzers because they look like skin. Pressed powder bronzers are great but during the summer I love looking naturally radiant and that’s why I use as little powder as possible. My skin is more on the dry side anyways so powder on powder looks like I’m just layering layers of powders. Lol but, cream bronzers look gorgeous on just about everyone, dry or oily. If you were oily you will just want to set all creams with a setting powder.

Blush

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge Cream Blush in Powder Pink. This color is so universally flattering I can’t get enough. I use it on myself and my clients. It is the perfect warm pink. I use this on my lips, cheeks, and sometimes even a little on my eyes for a little eye shadow. It sits so beautifully on the skin.

Powder

During the summer it is super important to set your makeup. I use the classic, Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder. It works on just about every skin type. I use it on myself and it is the only setting powder I keep in my bridal makeup artist kit. It sits on the skin so beautifully and does not leave the skin looking like a fresh white powdered donut. haha, It leaves no color on the skin either. It is completely translucent when applied correctly. You only need a little on a fluffy brush and set the main T Zone areas. I set under my eyes to help prevent any creasing, around the center of my forehead, on and around my nose, around my lips, and lastly my chin. It is all you need. Setting powder is the key to having a long-lasting makeup application.
