September Favorites
September has come and gone and I am so here for it! Bring on October fall festivities! I have round up my top September favorites here for you! Skincare, makeup, and my favorite tanning bits!
Skincare:
I have been loving the Necessaire The Body Lotion. This is a really beautiful lightweight yet super hydrating hand cream. I love that it feels like skincare but for your hands (body and). This also absorbed very quickly so you are not left with sticky or tackiness. This is an unscented cream which makes it perfect to apply during the day, it doesn’t interact with other scents you may have like your perfume! I have noticed it almost has a very subtle hint of mint. I love it.
For days when I want super-rich hydration, I have been using this glorious Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream. It leaves your skin looking and feeling dew and hydrated. This smells like a Hawaiian vacation, a coconutty dream.
The OUAI Scalp and Body Scrub has won the Allure 2020 Best of Beauty Award its so darn good! This is the perfect body and scalp scrub I have used by far. This product does a great job of removing built-up product or dry skin without being too harsh. It melts away when you add water. Such a perfect product to keep in the shower!
Tan-Luxe The Gradual is a lovely illuminating gradual tanning product. I don’t like a lot of sell tanners because there is always the fear of streaking but I have found that this product, in particular, has never streaked on me. It’s super easy to apply, just apply like lotion after the shower, let dry and go about your day. I love it!
The Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops are a super-easy way to add a light glow to your face. I apply 2-3 drops in with my moisturizer, take it down my neck, and then go about applying the rest of my makeup for the day. By evening I have a really lovely sunkissed glow.
The Kate Somerville Delikate Recovery Cream was a deluxe sample I received in a gift bag a few weeks back and I truly am loving it. It is a very rich cream, great for dry dehydrated skin. My only qualms with it are that it is $80 a jar! UGH! Also, It has a very distinctive scent to it, goats milk. If you don’t mind that scent and you have super dry skin, I’d say its lovely. I apply this before bed and when I wake up my skin just looks different, super plump, hydrated, and glowing. It is a lovely product!
The Kiehl’s Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence is a newer product to my collection, I was replacing my beloved Fresh Kombucha Treatment. I wanted to try something new and I do like this one. It claims to help with Dullness, texture, fine lines, wrinkles, and dryness. It is a watery consistency, I apply this after cleansing my face before my serums and moisturizer. I have only been using this one for a few weeks so when I finish it I will give you guys the full review. So far it leaves my skin really hydrated and glowing, I like it a lot.
Makeup
This category is pretty small this month, I have been really focusing on skincare this past month BUT these are what I have been reaching for the most this month:
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is a treat. It is the perfect everyday foundation. It is a newer purchase for me but I think this will be in my makeup bag for a very long time. This foundation gives great coverage, feels like a second skin, and is super luminous. Such a staple for anyone’s makeup bag! ( Visit my August Round-Ups for a full review of this foundation)
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer is another one of those forever favorites for makeup artists and all beauty lovers. It can be used as a concealer, highlighter, add moisturizer, and create yourself a foundation… it’s the perfect all in one product that gives great coverage and lasts all day.
Fenty Beauty Cream Bronzer is the perfect cream bronzer for anyone at any age. It is super creamy, blendable, and the pigment is sheerer than other bronzers so it makes it super easy to use and not over apply. I use the shade Butta Biscuit and its perfect for my skin tone. The beauty of this cream bronzer is that it comes in several different shades so you will easily find a match for your skin tone!
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in Pillow Talk is a beautiful pinky nude blush. It blends out beautifully and gives the perfect wash of color for any daytime look.
Lastly, I have been loving this Soothing Touch Lip Balm in Vanilla Chai. It smells like fall and leaves your lips feeling super hydrated and nourished. The best part is that it’s only $5. I have one in each of my bags! Lol
