Why should I hire a makeup artist?

Hiring a makeup artist it’s not only less stressful, but your makeup artist will have the training and knowledge to make sure your makeup stays on all day and night. It’s one less thing you’ll have to worry about!

What type of makeup do you specialize in?

I specialize in natural, elegant, bridal, and special events makeup. This is for the brides that want glowing, lit from within, your skin but better makeup looks! The majority of my brides either never wear makeup or wear very minimal and I like to give them the absolute best experience I possibly can (especially if this is their first time getting their makeup professionally done!). I strive to create the ultimate luxury makeup experience for my brides.

Do you travel and what are your travel fees?

Absolutely! I can travel just about anywhere you need me to! A travel fee may apply if the booking is outside of the Rochester, NY area. To find the exact rate of travel, please send me a detailed email and I will get back to you with more detailed pricing.

What is a bridal run through and when should I book it?

Bridal run-throughs are a great way to preview your wedding day look so you get the look that you envision for your big day! I want to make sure that the day runs as smoothly as possible and having a preview eliminates a lot of stress and scheduling issues. This also gives us a chance to meet before the big day! I include the preview in my packages since they are such an important part of your bridal makeup experience! I recommend scheduling this appointment at least 6-8 weeks ahead of time. This will ensure we are a perfect fit and we find the most perfect bridal look!

How far in advance should I book my wedding? What are your booking policies?

On average, my clients usually book with me about 6-12 months out, but I would say that as soon as you know when your wedding is and the location, I would book it! Ever since 2020 weddings have gotten rescheduled, I’ve seen an influx of weddings for the upcoming year so if you want certain wedding vendors, start reaching out to them for your date as soon as you know who you want as your service provider!

Do you offer airbrush makeup?

Although I am certified in airbrush makeup applications, I personally prefer the look and flexibility of traditional makeup applications so that is what I currently offer. When traditional makeup is done in the correct way, you will not be able to tell a difference between the two forms of applications. I carry several types of skincare and foundations in my pro kit so we can customize everything to your personal needs on your special day!

Do you do hair as well?

No, I am trained and certified as a makeup artist and esthetician. I do work directly with hairstylists in the area so if you are looking for recommendations I can direct you to several amazing artists in the area.

How long does it normally take you for each application?

Each makeup application ranges from 45 minutes to an hour.

What makeup products/brands do you use?

I strive to create the ultimate luxury bridal experience for every client so with that comes some beautiful luxury products! I use all higher-end brands such as Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Lorac, Make Up Forever, MAC, and Too Faced to name a few! If there is a specific product or brand you love, let me know and I’ll make sure to use those during your appointment!

Does hair or makeup go first?

Although I have done makeup before and after hair, I would say makeup should preferably go after hair. You want your makeup done closest to when you will walk down the aisle or attend a special event. If this is not an option, don’t panic! We always do touch-ups before you head out the door!

Can you accommodate larger bridal parties?

Yes! I always do as best I can to accommodate you and your bridal party! Due to me being a solo artist, I may not be able to accommodate over a certain amount of people alone due to timing BUT if you book far enough in advance, I can hire a secondary artist to assist me with your bridal party! I would recommend just reaching out to me with your wedding details as soon as you can so I can do the best I can to accommodate you!
