My Top 3 Setting Sprays
Happy Friday! Can you believe it’s already the end of the week? This month is flying by. I have been going through my makeup collection this week and I wanted to share my 3 Top Face Sprays and what they are used for and the differences between them. I have had these three in my collection for years now and love using them all.
- Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray – This one was a recommendation from my sister actually many years ago when I was building my makeup kit. This Setting spray is my #1 Go-To for keeping my makeup or my clients’ makeup in place all day. And it really works! After you finish your makeup, close your eyes and mist a few pumps across your face for a lasting makeup application. I have found this also works especially great for clients with combination to oily skin. I would even recommend this for them as a daily setting spray. It truly helps keep the oils at bay.
- Mac Prep and Prime Fix Plus – this is a great multi-use spray. I use this for skin prep, Setting, or as a mixing medium. This is great for all skin types. I love the Coconut one!
- This is great before makeup to hydrate and to prep your skin for your makeup application.
- Another great way to use this is after you have applied your makeup and you feel tightness in your skin, you feel too powdery, or if you’re too dry – close your eyes and spray a few pumps around your face starting in the center going outward. This will help melt all the products together and will soften up the look a lot.
- Lastly, you can use this with any eyeshadow to create a liner or to create a liquid eyeshadow! I love using this technique for creating unique eyeliners to match a look I am creating. Just spray a pump of this product in the corner of the shadow and mix the shadow and the Fix plus with your brush and boom – eyeliner!
- Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist – This is a great setting spray for those of you with dry skin. It will definitely give your skin a dewy finish! It gives great hydration and leaves your skin looking naturally hydrated. I love to apply this before makeup to hydrate the skin but also after you are all done with your makeup to melt everything together and get a natural finish!
I hope this helps! What are your favorites? Which one should I try next?
